Group Instruction
There are no group lessons scheduled at this time. Below is an example of a previous group guitar course:
Group guitar lessons for adult beginners. Groups will be 4-7 students and classes are held in the evenings. Each class is 50 minutes long and is offered once-a-week for 5 weeks. Students will learn basic chords and will become proficient at playing AND singing simultaneously. Yes, singing! That may seem scary at first, but really, it's what makes these classes fun.

Offered Tuesdays 7:30-8:20pm beginning January 19, 2010.
In these classes you will learn to strum basic chords and to accompany
yourself singing folk songs plus songs by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, and
Wilco. Registration ends January 12, 2010 or when class is full
(7 students.)
All classes are taught by Brian Cassidy at his studio which is located on Avenue F near Koenig Ln in north central Austin. As the former lead-guitarist for Okkervil River, Brian is one of Austin's most successful musicians, and has performed on national radio and television stations in the US, Europe, and Australia including a performance on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and a recent performance on Austin City Limits on PBS. His teaching experience is also extensive. He was the group guitar instructor at The University of Texas for two years while in graduate school, holds a masters degree in Music and Human Learning from UT, and is certified to teach public school music K-12. He's taught private lessons for 12 years.
Rates:
Each 5-week session is $100/student ($20 per 50-min lesson)
